Eva Longoria Files for Divorce From Tony Parker

Three-and-a-half years after marrying, 'Desperate Housewives' actress Eva Longoria has filed for divorce from NBA All-Star Tony Parker. (Nov. 17)

Longoria, 35, reportedly discovered that her husband Tony Parker, 28, has been exchanging text messages with Erin Barry, the estranged wife of former San Antonio Spur, Brent Barry for nearly a year - including hundreds in just one month, according to sources close to Parker the Daily Telegraph reports.

"There’s no physical relationship between Tony and Erin," the source said. "There was texting that went on for a while and probably crossed the line. Eva found out by looking at his phone."

The actress filed the documents at Los Angeles Superior Court this afternoon.

She later tweeted: 'It is with great sadness that after 7 years together, Tony and I have decided to divorce. We love each other deeply and pray for each other’s happiness.'

The news comes after a spokesperson for the actress yesterday shot down a report that claimed her basketball player husband had filed for divorce on Monday in Texas.

In the divorce papers, Longoria cites the standard 'irreconcilable differences' as the reason for the split.

She is also seeking spousal support from Parker.

However, there was no reference to the claims her 28-year-old NBA star husband has been unfaithful.

American showbiz website Us Weekly has also reported Tony has allegedly been texting a mutual family friend 'hundreds of times a month for almost a year'.

An insider said: "Eva is heartbroken by the betrayal,' adding that Tony admitted to the behaviour after Eva confronted him."

The couple tied the knot in a lavish ceremony at the Saint-Germain l'Auxerrois Church in Paris in 2007.

In the past Longoria has spoken of her plans to quit the U.S. once her hit series comes to an end and move to Parker's French homeland.

She was quoted as saying in an interview earlier this year: "I feel at home when I go there. So for me to actually be there is always a joy."

Longoria was previously married to American soap star Tyler Christopher from 2002 until 2004
