Earth's first Trojan Asteroid 2010 TK7
2010 TK7 is the first Trojan asteroid discovered sharing the Earth's orbit of the sun.Trojan satellites are theoretically predicted objects which orbit 60° ahead of or behind a planet in its orbit, and which had previously only been observed in the orbits of Mars, Jupiter and Neptune.
2010 TK7 has a diameter of 300 meters. Its path oscillates around the Sun-Earth L4 and also shuttles between this and the L3 Lagrangian point with a period of about 400 years.
2010 TK7 was discovered by the Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer in October 2010. After evaluation of the collected data the Trojan character of its motion was published in July 2011.

Most are 50 kilometers or larger in size. They're all named after Homer's epic poem about the Trojan War. The largest is 624 Hector which is 100 by 300 kilometers in size.

2010 TK7 is the first Earth trojan asteroid to be discovered; it precedes Earth in its orbit around the Sun, Trojan objects are most easily conceived as orbiting at a Lagrangian point, a dynamically stable location (where gravitational and centrifugal forces balance) 60 degrees ahead of or behind a massive orbiting body, in a type of 1:1 orbital resonance. In reality, they oscillate (librate) around such a point. Such objects had previously been observed in the orbits of Mars, Jupiter, Neptune, and the Saturnian moons Tethys and Dione.

Trojan asteroid refers to asteroids orbiting in the 4th and 5th Lagrange points of major planets in the Solar System. Currently there are six planets known to have trojans:
It is possible Mercury and Saturn have trojan asteroids, but none have been discovered so far due to; Mercury's close proximity to the Sun hinders the observation of such objects, and Saturn's proximity to Jupiter throwing possible would-be trojans out of a stable orbit with Saturn.
