May Day Immigrant Rights March

New York City - May 1, 2006

Thousands of New Yorkers called in sick to participate in a national "Day Without Immigrants" on May Day 2006. Streaming into Union Square from feeder marches all over the City, marchers bearing banners, signs and bullhorns rallied and then launched a massive procession down Broadway from Union Square to Foley Square. Tomer Malchi, Todd Eaton and Thomas Good covered the Make The Road By Walking/IWW feeder for NLN.
