I will start this article by apologizing to the member who prepared this fantastic resource. It spotted this earlier today in his signature and decided to make an article featuring it. However, I accidentally lost the tab where I had the user’s profile. This fantastic comparison between kernels has been compiled to show results across the many available kernels for our beloved EVO devices. Why is this important? The reason is very simple, kernels are worked and tweaked by many different devs with various philosophies on what kernels should have, what it should fix, what enhancements should be included, etc.. . . So, you are in possession of a brand new Android device, which you have rooted and have loaded with tons of apps. However, seeing how you came from the world of WM, you are used to the idea that the device should have every bit of available RAM to perform the way it should. With this in mind, you quickly turn to the market and look for “task killers” or “task managers” and end up installing the best one that you can find.
If you can relate to the previous statement, let me start of by saying “join the club”. . . READ ON »
XDA member beatlevlc presents another alternative to automatically program your Windows Mobile device to shut down. TGShutdown is a small application timer on a easy interface with Start/Stop buttons and calendar view.
Now, you can go to bed listening music or watching television knowing your device won´t be awake forever after you fall asleep.
Tested on hTC Leo but should work on any device with WM 6.5 and up.
