ICAN and MAPW position available: part-time book-keeper/administrator

MAPW and ICANi are seeking applicants for the position of Book-keeper/Administrator. This is a 2-day/week position shared between MAPW (the employer) and ICAN. The successful applicant will normally work one day with each organisation.

IPPNW calls for ban on uranium mining

A ban on uranium mining was supported by the August 2010 World Congress of IPPNW, the international body of to which MAPW is affiliated. The resolution states that uranium ore mining  is irresponsible and represents a grave threat to health and to the environment; and resolves that IPPNW call for appropriate measures to ban uranium mining worldwide.
