MARIAH Carey confirmed the worst-kept secret in Hollywood in an interview airing overnight, revealing, "Yes, we are pregnant - this is true".
Rumours had been swirling for months as the singer's belly has expanded and husband Nick Cannon has squashed the conversation without ever once directly addressing the question.
"It's been a long journey, but it's been tough because I've been trying to have ... to hold onto a shred of privacy. And that was not easy," she told Access Hollywood. "It's still early, I'm expecting in the spring, I'll say that. I don't want to give too much of like, specific outlines."
According to Access Hollywood host Billy Bush, Carey and Cannon are not going to find out the sex of the baby before the birth.
In the three-part interview, Carey also revealed she suffered a miscarriage nearly two years ago.
