The JCVI Genomic Sequencing Center for Infectious Diseases (GSCID), sponsored by the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), addresses the scientific community's need for sequencing and genotyping of organisms considered agents of bioterrorism and/or responsible for emerging and re-emerging diseases.
