Posted September 17th, 2008 by camasThe Camas Infoshop is a not-for-profit and collectively-run infoshop, bookstore and autonomous space located on Lekwungen Territory in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Camas first opened its doors in September 2007, with the intention of providing a voice for anti-authoritarian and anti-colonial perspectives and local struggles, and helping to foster a spirit of solidarity with other such struggles taking place globally.
Mission Statement
Mission and Preamble of the Camas Collective
To promote anti-authoritarian and non-hierarchical beliefs and practices through the distribution of radical publications and politically inspired artwork (clothing, crafts, books, posters, etc…) and by providing a space for like minded groups to organize and meet in.
To promote critical analysis of and advocate for, alternatives to the exploitative natures and practices of capitalism, colonialism, imperialism and all other forms of exploitation.
