CDC Foundation Hero Award

Congratulations to CSPI's Executive Director Michael Jacobson, who received the 2010 CDC Foundation Hero Award for his efforts to improve public health through science-based nutrition and food-safety initiatives.

Ben & Jerry's

Ben & Jerry’s has agreed to phase the use of “All Natural” claims on labels of its products with ingredients that aren’t natural. CSPI sent a letter to Unilever, Ben & Jerry's parent company in August.

Time is running out!

After half a billion eggs were recalled, Congress seemed poised to act on long-awaited food safety legislation. Now, a new obstacle threatens its passage. Please call 1-877-481-9966 today, and urge your Senator to act!

Nutrition Conference in Canada

Health and food-policy experts, policy makers, journalists, and health advocates will come together for Championing Public Health Nutrition 2010 on October 25 and 26 at the Canadian Museum of Nature in Ottawa.

Quorn

Since 2002, CSPI has worked to get Quorn, a fungus-based meat subsitute known to cause severe allergic reactions, off of American and British shelves. Now, CSPI is asking Australian officials to prohibit the sale of Quorn.
