Thanksgiving day is coming up, and I Love a feast and the company of family and friends, but I also remember how we got here to celebrate this day that is allegedly to celebrate the union of Savage and Civilization, which of course, turned into conquest.
War is the most horrific thing. WAR IS TERROR!
In the good old days, soldiers for the empire used to Love the hands on killing, such as the two drawings seen above. The two photos below are of those suffering from the effects of war from the barrel of the gun, as it were.
These are images that are not in the forefront of our minds. These are not images we choose to think about. But these are images of things that have happened and continue to happen in this world.
Although I have many things to be thankful for, such as not having to face the barrel end of the gun in our continued genocide by the Americas, I know many people still do. Things really haven't changed that much at all.
So, during this holiday called Thanksgiving, I will let you know I have many things to be thankful for, but I also know how we got here and how I have the privilege of taking the time to be with family and friends in order to be thankful.
The empire is not done doing its horrible things in order to continue to amass wealth for the few.
You will also notice the bottom photograph of a U.S. soldier proudly holding his weapon. His name is Steven Green. A couple of Steven Green's friends, Paul Cortes and I forget the other one, are doing 99 years in military prison for raping and murdering Abeer Qassim al Janabi, a 13-year-old Iraqi girl. They also killed her parents and little sister. Steven Green was the trigger man according to the testimony. Steven Green is nothing new. Steven Green is nothing unusual. Steven Green was hired by King Dick and co-King George in order to oppress a peoples to steal their wealth and amass it to the few. Sound familiar. Nothing much changes.
People seem to have this fear of seeing such images. Of knowing these are things that are happening that actually do have an effect on them. Here in America, it helps effect our privilege as our gas prices are really underinflated and many folks are still driving around in their great big SUV's as status symbols.
Few think of how we got here. I do.
I think of these kinds of things a lot. You see, Shusli and I, we both have a genetic memory that haunts us to this day and undoubtedly into the future generations. We are survivors of genocide. This genocide was caused by folks like King Dick and co-King George and enacted out by hired thugs like Steven Green. It's been a long and horrific journey, and in our genetic memory, we still feel it.
And this, this is one of the ways in which I deal with it. I will show you simple beauty in the petals of a rose, and I will share with you photos and drawings of attrocities that have occurred in order for us to be thankful on Thanksgiving Day.
Unlike the extremely biased U.S. judicial system, I don't try to exclude evidence. I try to take in the whole, all of the evidence in an attempt to get at the truth. I try to understand patterns that occur in our society. Invasion, conquest, genocide, rape, murder, etc., are all a part of this society, but just not seen like pumpkin pie, roasted turkey, laughing with and enjoying family (in most cases). But these photos are of things that have brought us here.
Shusli and I have discussed quite a bit the fact that all folks that celebrate Thanksgiving in the U.S., are doing so on the blood of our peoples. It was the mass slaughter, terror, horror, rape, conquest, assimilation, etc., of our people that made this alleged great nation. As much as pretty much all Americans would simply Love to forget that part, I won't let them. Why? Because it still hasn't ended. There are reasons you have the PRIVILEGE of eating a feast and enjoying your family. A vast amount of those reasons involve the wholesale slaughter of millions, the oppression of millions, historically and currently, the theivery of other peoples lands and resources. You all, like I am, should be thankful you aren't currently at the business end of the rifle being held by folks like Steven Green and other hired killers for empire.
Mind you, vets folks, I understand that there are many reasons folks join the military (most of which the conditions are created by folks like King Dick and co-King George). I know that there are many kind hearted folks pulling the trigger and wondering how the fuck they got in that situation and often times coming back horrifically damaged themselves. But folks like King Dick and co-King George are always looking to create those cold blooded killers like Steven. You can't have the brutal arm of your dictatorship having a heart when they are ordered to murder women and children or do so on their own, like Steven did. Why, if folks like Steven actually questioned the reasons why they are being trained to use such brute force and actually learn the truth, they just might not do so, then where would the EMPIRE be?
The REAL CRIMINALS are folk like King Dick and co-King George.
So, on this Thanksgiving Day, I will be thankful for the privilege of my family no longer being murdered for empire. I will also be praying for those whose families are being murdered for empire and that we simply ignore because we can.
