After a month off, Radio Lost and Found returns to the airwaves with some strange sounds and outré ambiences for your listening enjoyment!

I've found lots of fun stuff since last time! Lots of weird vinyl and some further proof of humanity's madness on the interwebs!

Dr. Elise Schroeder, naturopathic physician, discusses how to fully assess your risk for cardiovascular disease and how best to treat it.

First off, local band Padam Padam, who have been on a two year tour performing in tiny churches, and will be playing Fri  Nov 19th at TaborSpace, will perform their brand of Country Cabaret live in our first hour!  And experimental band Little Teeth, will perform their Melodramic Pop Music in our second hour!  Also, Sabrina, our New Music Correspondent, will call up rap artist & poet Sole to talk about his new book, Pyre, and his up coming appearance with his band, Sole & Skyrider, at Backspace on Nov. 17th.

Tonight wel explore the music of IGOR WAKHEVITCH. Wakhevitch studied under musique concrete founder Pierre Scheaffer, worked with minimalist composer Terry Riley, and composed the music for Salvador Dali's opera Etre Dieu. On top of the Dali opera, he released six records in the 1970s which in the words of the Swan's Michael Gira are "The most astonishing music I have heard in some years... Amazing approach to sound, from classical to experimental, psychadelia to film music. Ominous and beautiful, then clamorous and Wagnerian. At some points it sounds like contemporary electronic music, then shifts seemlessly into a full classical orchestra," while a Pitchfork review of one his records was titled "It Was the Strangest Record I Had Ever Heard."  

At PHAME Academy, talent rules. Dmae Roberts talks to Stephen Marc Beaudoin, interim excecutive director of PHAME on November 16th. We'll hear about this academy that provides classes and performing opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities. PHAME offers varied classes in music, theatre, visual arts and creative writing in Portland.
