Steampunk!
This is the website of the Victorian Steampunk Society (VSS) We are a voluntary organisation formed to promote steampunk as a genre, community and art form in the UK. We take the best of the Victorian Age and mix it with a healthy dash of modern creativity to create a fascinating and entertaining world.
We encourage a return to old fashioned values of good manners and sartorial elegance and advocate a move away from homogenised disposable society. Even though we have a basis in the past we are very much a movement of the 21st Century influencing fashion and the media.
The VSS both facilitate and supports a range of events and activities for the UK Steampunk community and are always happy to respond to enquries from organisations looking to learn more about the genre. We also organise and run the Premier UK Steampunk festival "Weekend at the Asylum"

We should point out however that we are a not-for-profit society and are staffed by volunteers. It can sometimes take a little while to get a reply.
