East Africa Regional Office
For more than 30 years, ICRW has worked extensively in Africa to understand and promote women’s roles in social and economic development. We have collaborated with numerous local and regional partners to economically empower women, improve their health, reduce the spread of HIV and AIDS and protect women from violence. With ongoing project sites in Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda, we are committed to supporting gender-equitable development throughout the continent.
Today, ICRW is establishing a formal presence in the region with the launch of our East Africa Regional Office, which aims to build local capacity to conduct rigorous research, disseminate state-of-the-art resource materials and promote evidence-based advocacy. Through this effort, we plan to establish a regional platform for dialogue on gender and development.
