Today is the 9th anniversary of the beginning of the War in Afghanistan. The Community Alliance of Lane County, in Eugene, gathered today to show their support in ending the United States involvment in Afghanistan.

Students gathered at Portland State University to defend public education as part of a national call to action. The Portland Coalition to Defend Education organized the event in collaboration with groups across the country that have gathered in order to speak out against privatizing public schools and universities.
