Singles Going Steady! From October 17th - 24th, WFMU throws technology into the circular file and celebrates the little records with the big holes, in anticipation of our annual Record Fair, which takes place Oct 22-24 at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Manhattan. For one full week, our DJs will play nothing but seven inch records, many of which will rotate at the recommended 45 revolutions per minute. Singles Going Steady in Dublin - Simulcast with Power FM Friday, October 22nd, 3pm - 6pm on Put The Needle On The Record with Billy Jam For this year's Singles Going Steady week on WFMU, Billy Jam will cross the pond to Ireland for an all seven inch records show (hip-hop, funk, soul, and other) with sets by Irish crate-digging DJs Laz-E, Tu-Ki, Cool C, Gerry Beatfinder, Baz Hickey, and Tall Paul Lowe. The show, which will also feature OG Irish party rocker (Dublin circa 1950's/60's) DJ Brennie, will be a simulcast radio broadcast with Dublin radio station Power FM and will simulcast from its downtown Dublin studios in real time on both the Irish and New Jersey stations, plus a webcam feed via PowerFm.org.
