Lucy the elephant

Lucy, the 34-year-old Asian elephant at the Valley Zoo has been getting a lot of attention from visitors, media and even Hollywood celebrities. In response, we have created a section of our website with videos and other background information about Lucy. In the future, we hope to feature many of the other exciting animals living at the zoo.

Edmonton City Council has approved $43 million in funding for major upgrades at the Valley Zoo. The investment will help the Zoo become a centre of learning, enhance the quality of life for animals in its care and improve the experience of visitors
