Over the last week, many of us were on the edge of our seats awaiting the rescue of the 33 miners trapped below the earth’s surface in Chile, South America. Finally, after an extremely long wait, they were pulled to the top and reunited with their families and every major news outlet was there to broadcast it.

Piranha 3D didn’t break any box office records when it debuted in theaters back in August, but it still earned enough to warrant a sequel. Shortly after the film’s release Dimension Films sent out a press release stating their plans for a follow up. We knew another movie was coming our way but we had no idea how quickly it would arrive. According to Deadline, it will be in theaters by 2011. They’re not wasting any time.

Bloody Disgusting, the Oscar nominated actor has been offered the title role in the long awaited reboot. Over the past few weeks, 20th Century Fox has been courting Darren Aronofky to direct their upcoming sequel, Wolverine 2. The movie is a follow up to the commercially successful but critically panned X-Men Origins: Wolverine from 2009. Over the last few days, it seems that Aronofsky has been inching closer and closer to the project. He even turned down an offer from Warner Bros to direct Tales From The Gangster Squad. According to Wolverine star and producer Hugh Jackman, Aronofsky will direct him in the sequel and that’s straight from the horses mouth!
