Anchor Archive Open Hours Training

If you're interested in volunteering to do open hours shifts at the Anchor Archive Zine Library, a volunteer orientation session is being held on Saturday, October 23rd at 3:00 pm. Our open hours volunteers help people find zines, check out zines for people and check in returns, and help keep the library running smoothly. It's a great way to meet zinesters and get library experience.

Roberts Street Social Centre artist-in-residence Clara Bee Lavery is launching her new zine HUNGRY: A (Re)Collection of Memorable Meals & Disordered Eating. Join the RSSC crew for a potluck lunch, reading, and informal discussion about our relationships with food. $5 and/or a potluck item gets you a copy of HUNGRY and a delicious meal!

Donate your stuff to the Roberts Street Yard Sale! Shed resident Katie Haegele is writing her zine, White Elephants, about yard saling and her love of all things old and unwanted. She sneaked in a little linguistics lesson on the word nostalgia and related words in other languages, too. To celebrate the launch of her fourth issue she’s having a yard sale!

Roberts Street BBQ

The Roberts Street BBQ has been postponed until next week (September 3rd). But it'll be a big one -a celebration of the exciting summer we've had at Roberts Street. It is also a fundraiser so be sure to tell everyone you know. We all love barbeques! Vegetarian options, fresh veggies and popsicles are all available. See you there.
