I’m back!

October 1, 2010
by DJ Temisan Adoki

I have to apologize for this. I have broken the cardinal rule of blogging and have went two months without a post. Why? I’ve had to deal with alot of personal bullshit lately. I don’t want to go into it. I had a couple of moments where I just wanted to just scrap this blog and say fuck it, it’s over. But then I realized that there were so many people checking this site out. All while I was feeling like absolute crap. I couldn’t do that though, that would be a travesty to the young blogger who started this shit as a college student at Pitt. I know there are probably alot of you who stopped checking out this blog due to the lack of updates. That’s fine, I don’t blame you. There were probably alot of devotees to this blog that I neglected, again, my apologies.

I hope everyone had a good summer. Because, this blog will be back for the rest of the year starting right now, with a few changes.

Thanks to all of those people who still gave a damn, even though I didn’t give you any new posts for a damn long time.

Before this record is available for the masses, Don Diablo brings us his dubstep remix of this track to give everyone a little taste of this goodness.

BRAND NEW CHROMEO!

June 30, 2010
by DJ Temisan Adoki

Damned if you do…damned if you don’t huh? I’m not going to explain my absence more than by saying that I had to take care of some things. Also, I’ve been in the middle of a bad housing/living situation that includes a complete lack of internet access so I have had to post from random locations with internet access. I feel like it’s 1999/2000 only with better technology and a shitty economy. I can’t believe the year is almost half over and this site has taken so many hits….from the deletion of the O.G. Strictly Riddim blogspot to all of the things that have happened to me personally. Still, I’m treading on.

Which leads me to this brand new Chromeo single that has all of the typical funk stylings from the group with more of a heavier electro-funk vibe. Chromeo is also going to be on tour so check out the tour dates below to see if they are coming to a city near you.

Modek- Pink (Original Mix)

Alright, it’s been a while since I last got on this blog. I was in Detroit for Movement 2010 and had a blast and took some time to get some rest and relaxation. But I’m back with some new music from Modek. He’s been putting out so many tracks, he gave this one for everyone out there to share for free! Yeah, that’s right. And this track is a banger. A dancefloor killer to say the least.

Black Holes

Black Holes – Avon (Original Mix)

Sometimes when I’m smoking a nice little doobie, I like to think about our universe and the many different bodies it contains. The universe is volatile, mysterious, and powerful at best, yet we as humans still manage to do our thing with all of the craziness it contains. Yeah, I know it sounds like a stoner musing, but the universe is very interesting. Black holes are one of the most benevolent and profound forces in the universe. Scientists have studied Black Holes for years and have made many perplexing discoveries.

Speaking of discoveries, Potty Mouth Music has helped me to discover more about Black Holes. The group that is. They make some disgusting fidget house and bassline tracks and I happened to get my hands on one of them via all the good folks at PMM. This track “Avon”, is one you will certainly remember. Swirling basslines, fuzz, distortion, and lots of nasty bass! It’s uncontrolled yet stable like our own universe.

This is some brand new heat from Jack Beats. This track was taken from a mix so it’s not official, but it is the best look you’ll get at this time of the evolution of the Jack Beats sound. From their forthcoming EP coming out next month.

Stop The Party (Philly Club Remix) – DJ Sega

Damn, I love doing write ups on that kid DJ Sega. Some people may call him a sick DJ, some may call him the second coming of Christ, but no matter what, Sega has jams for days. He just dropped this track on his twitter just five minutes ago and it’s some piff if I ever did hear it.

Brodinski- Arnold Classics (DJ Sega remix)

SebastIAN- Motor (Neus Remix)

Timbaland feat. Justin Timberlake- Carry Out (Murder Mark Remix)

Hanuman- Bola (Star Eyes Remix)

Soulja Boy- Pretty Boy Swag (Emynd Remix)

JFK & St. Mandrew- Face Pump (LA Riots Remix)

Usher- OMG (DJ Booman Remix)

Fuck yeah son! Rather than post up one track, I gave y’all a bunch of joints to dig on, but I must say…please support the artists by grabbing more of their stuff wherever digital music is trafficked. I honestly don’t know where to begin in telling you what’s good, all of these tracks are fire and I’ve been feeling them. I’ll probably write up more later, but enjoy these now.
