I haven’t done any videos in a while, mostly because my camera is broken, but here are some of my past succos videos.

I know, it’s right after Yom Kippur and already I’m talking about sex, but someone asked me to write about what fun stuff you could do with a kittel and there’s nothing more fun then getting an unexplained boner in shul and not having to wait until it retreats to move about, of course if your kittel opens and reveals your woody in the middle of hininee this could pose some problems (I have always thought the reason behind the groom wearing a kittel was so that he could be completely comfortable in his pre-yichud room boner state of mind). This reminds me of the time when I was 13 [click to continue…]

At last minute I changed my plans for Yom Kippur, I had to be at work late on Friday and decided to daven with the Jewish Study Network, AKA Bay Area Community Kollel, AKA get as many kids to go to yeshiva as possible through sly brainwashing (kiruv) tactics like warm homemade challah and really good cholent. I was wary, until one of the Rabbis told me that it would be a yeshivish davening, my ears perked up and I imagined tables with flimsy white plastic tablecloths filled with random yeshivish direi torah emails from Monsey that you could sponsor for $36 a year. I decided to take a ride through the pre-fab home neighborhood right near my house today, I was on the tail end of a morning ride around the hood and the neighbors had always intrigued me and I was hoping to see if their hood was as white trash as I thought it was. I was happy to see shirtless men working on their lawns beer can in hand, under the hoods of their rusting muscle cars and just sitting on their stoops enjoying the strange overcast weather which has engulfed the south bay today. Making Reservations for Succos this Year.
Guest post by Telz Angel
Things are getting pretty interesting in this town of Shaker Flats, MN. My favorite shul, Congregation Eruv Rav, invited all shul members, and especially the children in the community, to a sukkah decorating party this Sunday, after Yom Kippur. All are welcome to bring arts and crafts supplies and make this the nicest sukkah ever. The theme this year is Chanukkah! [click to continue…]

Earlier today a Tornado touched down in New York destroying trees, cars, homes and bringing traffic to a halt, as can be expected the the frum community reacted in a variety of ways, some folks thought moshiach was coming and others thought it to be a pre-yom kippur warning for all of the abominations that go on in the city. A few days ago, Heshy commented (satirically, I might add) about trying to do teshuva for things that he knew he wouldn’t stop doing and perhaps couldn’t even wait to begin doing again. I find that this perception is quite a common one and thought it would do a lot of people a lot of good to address it before we begin Yom Kippur. [click to continue…]
