New plan to eliminate tuberculosis
13 October 2010 -- Each year about 9 million people contract tuberculosis and almost 2 million people die from it. To step up the fight against the disease, the Stop TB Partnership has released a global action plan for 2011-2015. The plan includes the development and production rapid tests and vaccines, and calls upon the international community for US$ 37 billion for its implementation.
