What's New?

(06/11/2010) Site layout adjusted to the latest Fuzzy style, the look that originated on the video site and then was also used on the blog. I also fixed the facebook integration now that facebook has updated/changed their system again. Now both comments and like button are available on the site detail pages. The "Share on FaceBook" link will probably disappear soon, since it is no longer supported and according to Facebook it has been replaced by their like button.

(05/10/2010) Thanks to DJ D, we had a cleanup of the Popular Blogs, removed all deleted or abandoned blogs from that section so only still relevant blogs will get in there. Thanks Mate, greatly appreciated.

And there is of course still our Live Stream, straight from the Google Reader API, in real time, we grab the latest posts from thousands of Music Blogs. Google updates its feeds about once per hour, so there's plenty to browse through if you're interested.

What is Totally Fuzzy?

No high flying ambitions, no "web entrepreneurship', no suits (unlike bankers), no business plan (just like bankers), if we can manage to pay for the hosting we're already happy.

We're only "professional" - or try to be - in order not to insult your and our own intelligence. So we try to make sure things work and look a bit decent. We can be fussy in addition to fuzzy.

Some Security Tips (before you start exploring)

Make sure to regularly check your Flash player plugin (Flash Player Version Check) and upgrade as soon as possible. The same applies to the QuickTime plugin.
If you only occasionally need a pdf reader, don't install Adobe Reader, but use FoxIt Reader instead (also available for Linux). Uninstall Adobe reader if you have it already installed. Foxit Reader is a mere 5 Mb compared to Adobe's bloated Reader, nowadays over 25.5 MB. You can even choose the portable version. (click the More Download link and get the zip file) Adobe Reader has become a major security problem lately with all kinds of issues and vulnerabilities..
Don't use Internet Explorer or Outlook (any version, including Express). Use Opera, Firefox, Chrome or Safari. The majority of infections with malware is targeting Microsoft product like Internet Explorer and Outlook. Avoid using those and you'll reduce your security risks by at least 90%.
Always use a firewall, don't rely on the Windows firewall only, as well as an anti-virus program. Do a weekly/monthly check with an anti-spyware program. (Suggestions (all freeware): @ Geeks To )) If you ever run into serious trouble free help is available at Geeks to go and/or bleepingcomputer. Just be patient and polite and their volunteer experts will help you out.
Do NOT download any free anti-spyware programs in any ads you might see online. People that give away decent free programs don't have any money to spend on advertising. Why would they? Since it doesn't make them any money?
On the detail pages in our directory you can check the safety of the sites we link to using the links behind Security: Safe Browsing? - Purewire Trust - SiteAdvisor. (You can ignore the Norton one, since that doesn't work properly for the blogspot domain)
Feel free to report any sites in our directory that are problematic. I will check them and if necessary remove them.
