IWW.ORG Email Lists are available for use by IWW members. A complete list of all IWW email lists (except for private lists) are available at the following address:
Click on a list name to get more information about the list, or to subscribe, unsubscribe, and change the preferences on your subscription. To visit the general information page for an unadvertised list, open a URL similar to this one, but with a '/' and the list name appended.
Subscriptions must be approved by each list's administrator.
New IWW Email Lists may be set up by request for any IWW industrial union, branch, shop, committee, caucus, organizing effort, or issue, provided that the following conditions are met:
(1) All lists must be administered by dues paying IWW members in good standing.
(2)
List administration duties include list maintenance, handling subscription / unsubscription requests, handling any held postings, and keeping the list functional and on-topic.
(3) Lists must be relevant to the IWW and remain on-topic.
(4) Lists may be open to non IWW members, as long as they are maintained by IWW members in good standing.
(5) Lists not used for more than 12 months shall be considered abandoned and shut down.
(6) List defaults will be set so that unsolicited email from non-subscribers will be automatically discarded, subscription requests shall require list administrator approval and confirmation from the subscriber, and list archives shall be open to subscribers only. This policy is intended to protect the privacy of list subscribers and prevent spam.
(7) All list admins will be subscribed to the email list for list administrators. This list exists for the sole purpose of communicating information to list administrators about lists.iww.org network status. Subscription to this email list by list administrators is required without exception. If you ask to be unsubscribed from this list, we will assume you are resigning as list administrator.
(8) If you would like to set up a new IWW email list, please contact the iww.org network administrator. Be prepared to give your name, IWW membership number, a telephone number where you can be reached, your email address, and the name and subject of your email list.
(9) Remember that all email lists end in "lists.iww.org" not simply "iww.org".
