Prelude to Paris: What We’ve Learned Along the Way
In the 24-hour pit stop between Milan and Paris, there’s time (barely) to assess how 195 spring fashion shows in three cities have been changing our vision, so far. It’s always wise to defer absolute judgment till the end—a cooling-off period for readjustment after the intake of such an insane overload of information. So many conversations, so many scribbled notes, so much hysteria, such aching feet—but some impressions have already irrevocably stuck. The big one is how impossible it is to look at a short, tight dress worn with gigantic monster-shoes without thinking, That’s over.
