Video: The Making of the North Sea

Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, Ken Duell, a 35-year diving and offshore construction veteran, filmed dozens of hours of footage on a Super 8 camera of his work in the North Sea, offshore West Africa and the Gulf of Mexico. Converted to a digital format in 1995, this never-before seen footage documents the construction of the world’s offshore oil and gas resources. Click on the video to watch “The Making of the North Sea,” which chronicles Duell’s work in Forties Field in 1974.
