Stop the deportations!

The Capitalist system is in crisis and there are attacks on all fronts against  the workers conditions and rights. Goverments are desperate, and they are playing dangerous cards, as the Berlusconi government that in 2008 started a witch-hunt against the Roma people and immigrants, and now the Sarkozy government in France that is deporting the Roma.

To the sections and friends of the IWA - Request for international solidarity - EULEN Conflict

SOV Cordoba (CNT-AIT) asks for solidarity from the IWA in the conflict we have against the multinational EULEN.

EULEN is a company basically dedicated to the service sector (cleaning, maintenance, social healthcare services, security, etc. ) specializing in subcontracting services to the public administration and to large companies.

It is therefore one of the main spearheads of privatization and outsourcing of public services and the worsening of working conditions, even having its temporary work agency, FLEXIPLAN.

The new Labor Reform, another aggression against working class rights

Yesterday the Labor Reform decree-law signed by the Council of Ministers was published. This bill will still need to pass through parliament and will most probably be modified. As is it's a botched job so there's no question that after the required formalities it will come out revised and bearing substantial changes. That said, the fundamental lines have already been laid down and we can say that it is the fiercest attack on the working class' rights since the founding of democracy in Spain [1978].

All the defendants were acquitted of the charges against them as the Judge considered that there were no evidences to condemn them.

Update about the trial of the “Lisbon 11”

Three more sessions of the trial against the “Lisbon 11” - eleven persons detained during the police repression of the 25th April 2007 anti-authoritarian demonstration against fascism and capitalism in Lisbon - were held on April 29th, May 19th and June 15th.

Basta, exploitation!

They say we are in crisis time, but bankers, traders, CEOs and many otherscontinue to receive incredible incomes. Meanwhile, living conditions of workers and unemployed, etc.., are increasingly deteriorating. Precarious workers are particularly affected by the rising of unemployment. So temporary work agencies take advantage of an exploitable labor, that is forced to accept the conditions set by employers, to avoid the the risk of no longer being proposed for new missions and fearing of being repressed by the JobAgency (which is closer to a police station than anything).

Deal With It!

Berlin Courts' Logic Supply Dangerously Low

An interview with Lars Röhm about the fine against the FAU Berlin

In April, the FAU Berlin was charged 200 Euros for referring to itself as a union in its statutes. In December 2009, an injunction had been issued forcing them to remove the word union from all their publications. However the banned word remained in the statutes until mid-March as a change there would have taken several months. The management of the Babylon Mitte Cinema filed for the charges in February 2010. The injunction was also filed for by the same cinema's management during a labor dispute with its employees, which the FAU Berlin was supporting. This is the first time that a workers' association has been banned from calling itself a union in Germany. Lars Röhm has been the secretary of the FAU Berlin since 2009.
