Journos jump line to become first iPad buyers

APPLE fans who queued overnight to be among the first to get their hands on an iPad were this morning pipped by impatient journalists.

People began waiting outside the new Apple Store Bondi as early as 9pm last night to secure their place for the launch of the iPad at 8am (AEST) today.

But when doors opened at the store in east Sydney, two men from the media pack jumped in first.

Why is this news? Why do Apple get so much media attention? Can anyone say 'kickbacks'? It's a bigger iphone that's not a phone and that can only do a few things more that the iphone couldn't do. Apple's the Twilight of the gadget world.

Those jounalists have reached an all new low - if they were reputable, they wouldn't of had to disgustingly jump que with their electronic junk around their necks, as I'm sure Apple would of given an iPad through other means for reviewing. Shame on you both!

A ticket system similar to the one used at deli counters in Woolies should have been used, that would have avoided any of this stuff. Very poor form from Apple. If I had waited outside since 2am Wednesday, I would be very very angry. One can only hope they got tripped on the way out and they dropped their ill gotten gain. Feel proud of yourselves journos, you scum.

If the security guard claims he did not touch the photographer then maybe he should have a look at the picture on the Daily Telegraph website which clearly shows him grabbing his shirt. Who was the idiot going, "calm down" and I wonder if she would be calm if someone grabbed her by the scruff of the neck!

What a complete twit that Alex Zaharov-Reutt guy is. It seems every day there's more and more of these so called, self titled 'Tech Journalists' that clearly have poor social skills or any actual journalistic qualifications. It seems every Apple fan with a blog can somehow call themselves a 'journalist', what a joke it, and people like him are.
