I love the show and make it my ambition at least once every two years to waste as much money as possible there. I use common sense for 364 other days of the year. I am not willing to put a price on the memories I am creating for myself and... my wonderful children.
We are going tomorrow and prep alone for the weather has cost more than I might have liked, but you know what? IT'S SHOW DAY!!!!

Muz go suck a fat one. I am gonna make sure they all come to thebarton, just so you can have them as neighbours and they break into your nice ute and trash it. When I moved to Mt Barker I was living right next to farmland we would take my... daughter there to see the animals, now its trashed and they are building lego houses. Its ridiculous. The freeway has gotten bad enough with the 5000 new residents since then, with another 30000 with no train and the worst bus service in Australia we wont cope. There is a 3 week wait for a doctors appointment unless you lie about what's wrong with you and the schools here are not coping as no teachers want to stay here. You people who think its whinging for nothing don't realise until you live here. But I for one wont be if it goes ahead. I will move back to QLD where the government backs down if faced with a back lash from the public, like what happened with the dams.See More

    • Elle Mercedes We have plenty of water running straight out to the sea.

    • Torben Pedersen Let the seawater into the lower lakes and have them all full for people to enjoy, it will only take them back to pre 1947 when the barages were build to hold out the sea water. Fishing and recreation would be great then and we could set up a compensation fund to compensate irrigators.
