Would you just shove the whole spoonful into your mouth at once or would you lay out all the candies and organize them by color and picture and count them so you could decide your eating priority based on prevalence of certain flavors and your personal preference? I vote for the latter. It’s so frustrating when you end up with a pile of yellow Skittles and nothing else.

I tend to be a completest about certain things. Like when I like a band, I have to buy every album; if I like an author I need to get all their books etc. I’m afraid that if faced with this sweet li’l Nessie cupcake tableau I would have to eat all of them. You know, for the complete set. Is that weird? I guess I’m just glad I’ve never actually been faced with this predicament.

This is the perfect donut. Deep fried, crispy on the outside, hot and doughy in the center, with crunchy little sprinkles. And you have to eat the whole thing in one bite, and you have to do it NOW before it cools or it just won’t be the same. Eat it! Now! Hurry!

This kind of looks like a bran muffin with frosting which, I know it may seem weird, but I LOVE bran muffins! It’s like the most whimsical, fancy breakfast muffin. Maybe for a birthday treat? I’d be stoked if my husband brought me one of these in bed with a mimosa and some bacon. Hint hint, honey! You have 3 months!

My brain is made up mostly of blank white space punctuated here and there with little colorful sprinkles. Sometimes they bump into each other and I’m able to string words together convincingly, the rest of the time I fill the white space with karaoke and fried chicken. But it all tastes like a snickerdoodle. I’m mysterious like that.

When I was a kid, my mom had a whole huge set of the Time Life Good Cook Series that was published in the late ’70s. My favorite book to obsess over was the one all about candy making, especially the recipe for ribbon candy. The process looked like absolute magic, turning sugar, water and coloring into the most perfect shiny gift bows which my great aunt would display in bowls all over her house.

It looks like turning 10 is where it’s AT! That li’l horsie has such pretty hair and is surrounded by the softest grass! I love that they managed to work in some sprinkles too; it just wouldn’t be a birthday cake without it! I know last time I posted a cake using the same piping technique you guys were less than impressed, what do you think of this take on the tradition?

There is something special about breakfast that loves you back. Was this hand done by a magical breakfast elf? I should train my husband to carve little messages into my breakfast foods; a banana that says “Snookums,” hot sauce on my eggs spelling “Lurve U,” or ham branded with “Smooches.” That should do it.

I think the most important question to ask here is what are those amazing little pink balls resting lightly atop the perfect whipped cream? They kind of look like strawberry Mentos, but that would ruin the flavor in my opinion. Plus they’d be way too heavy to sit on the cream like that. Help me cuteologists! What are those pinky bits of goodness?
