When Randy Montana took the stage in front of a packed house at Nashville's 3rd and Lindsley club, it was quickly apparent that his years of watching his songwriter dad, Billy Montana, have definitely paid off.

The laid-back young singer with the warm blue eyes isn't big on banter or chit-chat: he rolled through the first three songs without much fanfare or introduction at all, just taking care of business and playing his own brand of country for the eager but noisy audience. Eventually welcoming the crowd and alluding to the competing pop concert going on down the street, Randy asked, "Did you guys make it through the Justin Bieber traffic OK getting here? Any of you guys have Bieber fever?"

The crowd probably felt like it had a fever with the 100-degree heat outside making the tiny, cramped club feel like it had no air conditioning at all. And they were definitely in for a different type of sound than Justin Bieber, as Randy launched into several of the songs from his self-titled debut, including 'Goodbye Rain,' 'Reckless,' 'Someday,' 'Thousand Faces,' and of course his hot new single, 'Ain't Much Left Of Lovin' You.'

Long before the late Buck Owens became the co-host of TV's 'Hee Haw,' a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, he walked the streets of Bakersfield. The California town was fertile ground for the unique sound he and his band, the Buckaroos, and other artists were developing there in the 1950s. The Texas native loved Bakersfield so much, he moved there in 1950, eventually making it his permanent home until he died in March, 2006. After Buck's song, 'Act Naturally,' became his first No. 1 hit in 1963, he added 20 additional No. 1 hits to his collection, including 1988's 'Streets of Bakersfield,' a duet with Dwight Yoakam.

On Wednesday (August 11), the Bakersfield West Rotary donated the Buck Owens star on the Fox Theater's Walk of Fame, to honor the man who made a household name out of their fair city. On hand at the unveiling ceremony were Buck's sons, Mike and Johnny, his nephew Mel and about 100 people including friends, employees of the Owens family, fans and singer Darryl Worley, who headlined the annual Buck's Birthday Bash at the Crystal Palace (the Bakersfield nightclub he owned) on Wednesday evening. The late singer was honored with the star one day before what would have been his 81st birthday.

Josh Thompson will take a break from his H2O touring schedule this weekend to head down to Destin, Fla., to perform with Lynyrd Skynyrd at the 'Rock the Beach' concert on Sunday (August 15). Josh will kick the night off at 6:00 PM on the beach behind the Boardwalk on Okaloosa Island.

This marks the second year for the free concert series which is held to promote tourism in the area. Donations will be accepted throughout the evening, with proceeds benefiting the Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge. The Okaloosa County Tourist Development Council and Emerald Coast Convention & Visitors Bureau hope the concert will bring another economic boost to the area to help offset the Gulf oil-spill crisis.

Reba McEntire's 34th album will be released November 9 and titled 'All The Women I Am.'

Although Reba didn't tweet the information herself (leaving it up to her 'Tweebas' instead), fan sites lit up with the news soon after it was announced. "Yay! 'All the Women I Am' is the title of the new album! Go Reba," tweeted fan TriciaMcEntire with other fans chirping up with similar messages.

The album's already spun off one single 'Turn on the Radio,' which has become a Top 30 hit on Billboard's Country Songs chart and has also landed on Country Aircheck/USA Today chart. Reba loved the song so much that she called Cherie Oakley, one of its co-writers, to ask if she could cut it.

When he began his solo musical journey, Jaron and the Long Road to Love's Jaron Lowenstein pledged to be as honest and confessional about himself as he is with his music. "This is 2010, and I want to be as real and as accessible as possible," said the singer, as The Boot sat down with him for a candid conversation to learn about everything from his celebrity man crush to the movie that makes him cry. We also learned that, yes, there is such a thing as too much information!

What's one thing a woman can do for you that will immediately attract you to her?

I like to think that everyone's got one thing in the world that they're better than everyone else at. What I think about a woman is most attractive is her honesty with who she is, her self-awareness and her comfort with herself. So it's not necessarily a physical beauty, it's a level of security. When somebody's comfortable in their own skin there's nothing more beautiful than that.

So turning that around, what's one thing you can do to make yourself attractive to a woman?

I think women have a better understanding -- their priorities are much more in line with what's important -- than men. Whereas men are taken with the physicality, women care much more about the substance, traditionally. You'll see all the time, a very unattractive man with a beautiful woman. Women, to their credit, get past the physicality really quickly. It's not that they don't want to be attracted to a man, they are, but they're attracted on a deeper level. They want to be with someone who makes them laugh, somebody who's secure, somebody they can trust. I think in order for me to be attractive to a woman, it's the same thing -- it's being secure with who I am, comfortable in my skin. At the end of the day, I think comedy, humor is the biggest strength a guy can have.

Bo Bice has released his latest single from his new album, '3,' which hit stores this summer. 'You Take Yourself With You' is a song Bo holds close to his heart, as it reminds the singer of his teenage years when he first left home.

"The chorus of the song is loosely based around something my Dad told me," Bo tells The Boot. "My Dad would say, 'Bo, in life, always treat people like you want to be treated, but don't ever expect it back. Work hard every day and know that you have got to look yourself in the mirror. It doesn't matter how far you go or how high you fly, you take yourself with you every day, and you've got to live with yourself.'"

Bo co-wrote 'You Take Yourself With You' with writing buddy D. Scot Miller who also helped co-produce half of the '3' album. "The song came to us when we were hanging out at my studio," Bo recalls. "A lot of writing sessions start with you getting there and breaking out your guitars, and a lot of them start with a smile, a cup of coffee and a little bit of a conversation. Those conversations drive those creative juices into flow because you're almost looking for something that sparks both of you whether it be something that you're watching on TV or some kind of story you're telling one another back and forth. You find something you can relate to."
