BEST COAST
More of the same. Maybe a little more polished this time around (not in a bad way). Two tracks. Can't wait for the album.

NERVE CITY
The 6-song Sleepwalker EP by Nerve City—the one-man home recording project out of Richmond, VA—is the next installment in the Sacred Bones 12-inch EP series. Awash in the whips and twangs of a spring loaded reverb tank and faint hints of a distant drum kit, Nerve City’s hook-driven songs recall the hard-charging down-strokes of the Velvet Underground’s more driving moments or, more recently, the psychedelia of West coast kindred spirits in Sic Alps and the Gris Gris. Over the past several years, the band has cemented a rep both live and on record. First came the Catholic School demo tape and the follow-up, Hell (both via Amateur Depression), then quickly sides on Severed Hand, Kill Shaman, HoZac, and Sweet Rot.s For the most part, those releases are now completely gone.

ROYAL HEADACHE
Great band from Sydney Australia. Royal Headache have been playing for a little over a year now and have just released their first 7" (R.I.P Society Records). They seem to get labeled with punk rock soul or some shit but they remind me more of a "garagey" Descendants. Awesome live band too! 4 songs in total. My favourite being Splash!

KITCHENS FLOOR
Kitchens Floor are a band from Queensland Australia and fucking rule. This is their first self titled long out of print EP from 2008. At this point they were still a two piece, shitty nylon string guitar and a drummer with a cooking pot as a tom. Five awesome striped back catchy pop songs. They are now a 3 piece and have released a full length and 7" on Sydneys awesome R.I.P Society Records. Fans of Psychedelic Horseshit,Pink Reason and simple pop songs will dig this.

ELECTRIC BUNNIES
One of last years best releases. Florida is Dying has been putting out some pretty awesome shit but this one takes the cake. Amazing gate fold LP that folds out to become a ridiculous board game. Lots of different styles and variations in songs but they some how all sit really well together as a whole album.
