anarchy.org.au was established by xchange, once Australia’s oldest anarchist internet presence. It is now hosted by axxs.org.
Anarchy

The word ‘anarchy’ comes from the ancient Greek ἄναρχος in which ἄν meant ‘without’ and αρχος meant first a military ‘leader’ and then ‘ruler’. So an anarchist society is one ‘without rulers’: a classless, non-hierarchical society. The history of attempts to create such a society in the modern era is the history of anarchism.
