INAX Corp, the company that has already shown us the gilded toilet, has now unveiled a luxurious bathtub in Ginza, Tokyo priced at ¥7,927,500 (about US $93,450). The exterior of the bath, currently on exhibition, is festooned with 10-millimeter tiles of 24-karat white gold. The new VETRO SERIES NUOVA PRIMO/PRESTIGE will be available to order on October 1, 2010, with the deliveries to begin in January 2011. The INAX VETRO Series is aimed straight at those who can go to any extent for an invigorating and lavish bathing experience.

The Garia LSV, street-legal version of the world’s most expensive golf cart, has been fitted with street legal safety equipment such as seatbelts and side mirrors and a hydraulic brake system. The Garia LSV is being claimed to do 25mph with its 4hp electric motor. Priced at a cool £40,000 (about $61,980), the street-legal multi-purpose electrical golf car has hand-stitched seats, 10-inch aluminum wheels, digital instrumentation layout and a refrigerator built into the dashboard.

High expectations were set for Miss Venezuela Marelisa Gibson to grab the Miss Universe 2010 title this year, but she couldn’t make it. Anyway, a futuristic costume she wore during the Miss Universe pageant has caught Lady Gaga’s attention. Known for her strange but unique style, Lady Gaga has approached Miss Venezuela’s organization and expressed her deep interest in getting the suit for whatever it takes. The suit called “Solar Soul” has been designed by Ivan Dumont and Hugo Espina, and includes a full body mesh coated with 3000 silver triangles and 9000 Swarovski crystals.

Racing into the virtual world, we have featured a number of high-end simulators that keep the adrenalin level rushing in utmost reality. The latest is the Atomic A1 motion game simulator from UK-based JoyRide. Delivering a truly exhilarating riding experience in a compact and robust unit, the Atomic A1 was lately launched at the GamesCom trade show in Germany. Designed for gaming and professional simulation training, the motion simulator can be flexibly integrated into a home entertainment system. The Atomic A1 can be used with any screen configuration, including a television, PC monitor and full immersion screen setup. The integrated Simphynity software gives riders access to over 60 games, including racing, flying and roller coaster games, without the need for a third party interface. The compact unit comprises a racing car seat, steering wheel, peddle controllers and a joystick.

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of travel retailer DFS, Brown-Forman Duty Free/Travel Retail has come up with a unique idea. Brown-Forman commissioned artists from around the world to turn seven barrels of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whisky into amazing works of art. Master Distiller Jeff Arnett personally selected these seven barrels for DFS, and the artists include Mark Sampson & Andy Vella, Bryan Bowie, Dana Tomsa, Imin Yeh, Jeff Roland, Margaret Ho and Sheyna Baig. The barrel art is currently on display at DFS stores at seven airports (Auckland, Singapore, Abu Dhabi, Mumbai, Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York JFK) until September 30, 2010.

Brabus, one of the most respected tuning companies in the world, has now unveiled its latest creation, the Brabus iBusiness. Based on the Mercedes-Benz S600, the Brabus iBusiness four-seater luxury sedan packs in a range of multimedia features, including two iPads in the rear seats with Bluetooth keyboards and mouse, an ultra-small Mac minicomputer under the rear shelf and a 64GB Apple iPod Touch. The German super tuners have fitted the Mercedes S600 iBusiness with a 15.2-inch TFT display with 16:9 aspect ratio and USB 2.0 ports in the rear compartment to hook up peripherals to the Mac. You can connect to the internet via UMTS and HSDPA. The two iPads control the complete BRABUS multimedia system and the car’s standard S-Class COMAND system with all functions such as radio, navigation system and telephone.
