LENGTHY airport stopovers are often an unavoidable part of flying to Europe from Australia.

Whether you have to wait for a connecting flight or are wanting to adjust to new time zones, staying at a hotel close to the airport is a priority - not to mention having access to perks like free gym access, room service and day spas.

To make your trip easier, Hotels.com has identified the top 10 airport hotels at key stopover airports for Aussie travellers on their way to Europe.

Hong Kong International Airport, Hong Kong
Directly connected to Hong Kong International Airport by an enclosed bridge, the 4-star Regal Airport Hotel is a convenient option if you're looking to get some sleep before your next flight. The hotel has been awarded Best Airport Hotel in the world by Business Traveller Magazine UK and offers guests 24-hour accommodation regardless of check-in time.

Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Malaysia
Near the baggage claim area in the main terminal of the International Arrival Hall, there is a check in counter for the 5 star Pan Pacific Hotel.  A complimentary buggy transfer between the main terminal and the hotel via a sky-bridge is available, or if you feel like a stretching your legs after a long flight, the hotel is five minutes away by foot. Guests are also able to access gym facilities 24 hours a day.

Singapore Changi Airport, Singapore
The Crowne Plaza Changi Airport hotel is perfect for a Singaporean stopover, with a spa menu catered towards long distance travellers including jet-lag reflexology treatments. The 4.5 star hotel has direct access to the airport via a covered walkway or their automated People Mover System.

Dubai International Airport, Dubai
Dubai International Airport Terminal Hotel is located inside the airport, on the third level of the Sheikh Rashid Terminal. Tokyo Narita International Airport, Japan
The ANA Crowne Plaza Narita is a 10 minute drive from Narita International Airport, and a complimentary shuttle service to the hotel is provided. The 4-star hotel has a swimming pool with a retractable roof, a fully-equipped gymnasium and a sauna and spa.

Incheon International Airport, Seoul, Korea
Eight minutes away from Incheon International Airport you'll find the 3-star Hotel Incheon Airport. The hotel offers guests free airport transfers 24 hours a day and has an indoor golf driving range for travellers looking to work on their swing in between flights.
.
Abu Dhabi International Airport, Abu Dhabi
Located 20 minutes from Abu Dhabi International Airport, the 4 star Al Rawda Arjaan by Rotana provides guests with a 24-hour front desk service and 24-hour room service. It is also adjacent to Al Wahda Mall, the newest shopping centre in Abu Dhabi if you're looking to shop between flights.

Doha International Airport, Doha
The 5 star Sharq Village and Spa is five minutes from Doha International Airport, 15 minutes from the city centre, and 20 minutes from the prominent shopping district. Airport transfers can be arranged in a chauffer driven limousine, and if you feel like swimming, the hotel has two pools - and its own beach.

Beijing Capital International Airport

The Sino Swiss Hotel is five minutes from the Beijing International and Domestic Airport, and provides guests with complimentary shuttle transfers from the hotel to the airport and downtown. This 3.5-star hotel has a 24 hour front desk, and room service is also available anytime, day or night.
