MYER maven Jennifer Hawkins has bought an oceanfront block of land on Sydney's northern beaches with her boyfriend of six years, Jake Wall, as they begin to build their "dream home" together.
Real estate sources confirmed the couple settled an agreement on the expansive $1.8 million lot on the water in North Curl Curl, near Narrabeen, last week.
While not willing to discuss the price tag, Hawkins said her builder beau would not be attending Myer spring/summer fashion launch because he would be meeting architects and the local council over their proposed plans.
Although the 26-year-old model already has a multi-million-dollar property portfolio, complete with four houses and one apartment, it is believed this is her first purchase with Wall.
"It's really exciting, we're flat-chat at the moment," Hawkins said.
"We're building so (Jake) is getting all that ready. We start excavating in November."
Hawkins is chipping in too, though, having started an interior design course by correspondence so she can decorate the home.
"We've sort of got the same tastes, which is good, so it's just a matter of choosing different interiors," she said.
"(The course) is great to do on planes and in my free time ... it's not a career thing."
In Wall's place at the parade, which fittingly carries a seaside theme, will be Hawkins's mother, sister and two girlfriends.
