Cyclist recovering from injuries

A bicyclist injured in a hit-and-run crash last week is recovering at a St. Petersburg hospital, police say. Glenn Berleme, 58, still faces additional surgeries but his condition has stabilized, said Sarasota Police Capt. Paul Sutton. Berleme was at Mound Street and Osprey Avenue when he was struck by a sport utility vehicle on Friday at 3 p.m. The dark blue or black SUV was last seen heading south on Osprey Avenue.
