Woman Reports a Hit-and-Run, Gets Herself Arrested on 'Police Women of Memphis' (VIDEO)

by Allyssa Lee, posted Aug 6th 2010 4:00AM
There's something great about an arresting story. A story that can get you arrested, on the other hand, is a totally different matter.

Luckily for us, we got a little of both on 'Police Women of Memphis' (Thu., 10PM on TLC). A woman had called the cops to report a hit-and-run, and ended up getting herself arrested for assault.

After detailing where she was hit and the damage on her car, Officer Aubrey Olson inquired about death threats. Only, it wasn't the other woman who was doing the threatening.

"I said I was going to kill her a---," this woman corrected. "I was gonna kill her."

Jason Crafts Another 'Unfinished Mess' on 'Project Runway' (VIDEO)

by Allyssa Lee, posted Aug 6th 2010 3:20AM
Running out of time on yet another task meant curtains for arrogant competitor Jason Troisi on this week's 'Project Runway' (Thu., 9PM on LIFETIME). During this week's Marie Claire challenge, the hat-wearing reprobate employed "user-friendly" safety pins instead of buckles on his spacey silver "infinity" dress and left gaping holes both in his outfit and in the audience's confidence in his sense of fashion and good taste.

"It's not working," said Marie Claire editor in chief Joanna Coles during the photo shoot. "It looks like a mistake, or a hole in the dress."

Is Cat Racist? 'The Real Housewives of D.C.' (VIDEO)

by Allyssa Lee, posted Aug 6th 2010 2:30AM
It's only been the inaugural episode of 'The Real Housewives of D.C.' (Thu., 9PM on BRAVO) and things have already gotten a little snippy.

Like these small seeds of discontent that British Cat has started to sow in Stacie. In this episode, Stacie proudly introduced the gang to Cheo, Janet Jackson's personal chef, who has also catered to Tyra Banks.

"Poor you," Cat responded upon hearing the name of the model-turned-actress-turned talk show host and media mogul.

"Did you say 'poor you?'" pounced Stacie. "You don't like Tyra?"

Wyclef Jean Announces Haitian Presidential Bid on CNN; Sean Penn Hasn't Seen Him in Haiti for 6 Months (VIDEO)

by Allyssa Lee, posted Aug 6th 2010 12:30AM
It's official: Musical artist and erstwhile Fugee Wyclef Jean is, in fact, running for president of Haiti.

"This is my first time announcing it live," Jean confirmed to Wolf Blitzer on 'Larry King Live' (weeknights, 9PM on CNN) on location in Port-au-Prince. "I feel that me running, it brings a neutral situation, meaning that Wyclef Jean can sit with any political party, have a conversation. I'm coming in neutral ... I represent the voice of the youth."

And while his fans and the youth may flock to support this Haiti-born musician, actor and activist Sean Penn had some strong words both in response to Jean's announcement, and on behalf of the earthquake-ravaged country.

Kristen's Surprise Boyfriend and the Latest 'Big Brother' Eviction (VIDEO)

by Allyssa Lee, posted Aug 6th 2010 12:01AM
Things were not looking so hot for Kristen on 'Big Brother' (Thu., 8PM on CBS) this evening. Not only was she outfitted in that ridiculous rainbow sherbet hippie-tard, but it was revealed that the one who's been all smoochy face with housemate and showmance partner Hayden (gasp) already had a boyfriend!

And poor off-screen beau Steve was forced to squirm and watch his (ex?) girlfriend's make-out session with the fellow contestant back home in Philadelphia. "I'm disgusted," he said. "In my opinion, it's over."

Single Woman's 'Project Husband' Makes Its Way from Facebook to 'The Huckabee Show' (VIDEO)

by Allyssa Lee, posted Aug 5th 2010 11:00PM

'The Huckabee Show' had its own version of 'The Dating Game' when two potential spouses-to-be were grilled by guest Lisa Linehan as part of Project Husband -- her quest to find a suitable spouse to marry by next February.

And Linehan did not hold back with the interrogation. "If you were an ice cream flavor, which one would you be and why?"

("Honey, you need to ask them how much money they have in the bank ... and which one lives with their mother," cracked comedian and fellow guest Chonda Pierce.)

Vince Gilligan is Rethinking 'Breaking Bad' Season 3 Cliffhanger - TCA Report

by Joel Keller, posted Aug 5th 2010 8:02PM
Vince Gilligan accepts the TCA Award for Outstanding Achievement in Drama for 'Breaking Bad'On Tuesday evening, Sony Pictures held a party for its slate of TV shows at the loud but trendy bar210 at the Beverly Hilton (it occupies the space of the first version of Trader Vic's, which a few years ago moved next to the hotel's pool). There, I caught up with 'Breaking Bad' creator Vince Gilligan and talked to him about the decisions he made during the show's incredible third season, how the reaction to the last scene in the finale has made him rethink how next year might open, and how the delay of the season 4 premiere until summer is helping his writing staff.

I've read other interviews where you said that season 3 wasn't as planned out as some of the other ones because there was no season-long arc.
In season 2 it was a hell of a time trying to figure out the end at the beginning but we enjoyed it, we had a good time doing that.

After we did that in season 2 we had two thoughts: One of them was we had already done that, and another was 'God that was hard to do.' so we figured in season 3 that we would -- one way to put it was make it up as we went along and we kind of did in a certain fashion, but also to see where the flow took us just as a way to differentiate season 3 from season 2.

Which Star Would You Follow to Any Show?

by Chris Harnick, posted Aug 5th 2010 7:00PM
Sherry Stringfield, David Cross, Elizabeth Mitchell and Michael C. HallConfession: I fell head-over-heels for Sherry Stringfield when she was on 'ER.' I was heartbroken when she left in season 3 and delighted when she came back in season 8.

With that said, I'm beyond excited at the prospect that she might be heading to Lifetime in a new cop drama. I'll follow her to any project. There aren't many stars I'll do that for, but we all have at least one person we'd follow to end of the earth ... or cable.

Fellow TV Squad editors and writers chimed in with their picks, so check out the stars we'll follow and then tell us who would have you tuning into even the strangest show.

'Skins'This one's for the Anglophiles: British TV station E4 has announced the new cast of 'Skins,' its star-launching show about a gang of hard-partying teens now in its fifth season.

The new lineup is the third cast iteration -- each one gets two seasons to tell its story -- although BBC America, which airs the show Stateside, hasn't quite caught its American fan base up yet. Notable former cast members include Nicholas Hoult ('A Single Man') and Dev Patel ('Slumdog Millionaire').

Ryan and Tatum O'Neal Team Up For Reality TV Show

by Moviefone Staff, posted Aug 5th 2010 4:00PM
Ryan O'Neal and Tatum O'NealThe squabbles and infighting on TV's current family dramas will be nothing to the possible reality TV show being shopped around by Ryan O'Neal and his daughter, Tatum O'Neal.

Variety reports that the estranged pair are now living together for a new show called 'Lost and Found' -- a "docusoap" about to be pitched to networks.

Apparently, the idea came after the death of Farrah Fawcett, and now "the duo will undergo therapy together, and also attempt to get to the root of the resentment Tatum has held toward her father." And, of course, amuse the masses with their dysfunction.

The show will also watch them head off for auditions, date, and the rest of life's daily happenings.
