Know Your Lore

While it's definitely not necessary to play the previous Warcraft games to enjoy WoW, this is an online roleplaying game set in a particular universe, and understanding a little bit of the history behind the game can make your time in Azeroth more enjoyable. There's some cool stuff going on in the world that you can only "get" if you know who's who.
