Technorati Acquires AdEngage Advertising Network

We’ve been acquired! You can read about the acquisition on TechCrunch or Technorati.

With this acquisition, we anticipated that you guys might have a few questions so we’ve taken the initiative to list and answer a few:

What will happen to AdEngage?

AdEngage will continue to run as a separate business under Technorati Media. We will still serve ads and connect publishers and advertisers worldwide.

How will the acquisition affect me as an AdEngage Publisher or Advertiser?

As an AdEngage customer, you will not experience any changes. Everything will continue to run and operate just the same. We will still offer all services for all of our advertisers and publishers.

How do we feel about the acquisition?

We are very happy to be part of Technorati Media and expect the acquistion to affect AdEngage  favorably.

If you have any additional questions, please let us know!

Conversion Code

We are happy to announce the launch of the new AdEngage Conversion Code. Now for all your ads, you can track your ROI easily and effectively.

To get Conversion Code for your ad, go to My Account > Advertiser > Manage Campaigns, and select “View Stats.” Once you are on this page, select “On” next to “Conversion Code” and proceed by clicking “Get Conversion Code.”

Be sure to add the first piece of code to your landing page. This is important as it serves as the first step in tracking your visitor. The other fields of code are up to you and what is most relevant to track (page views, registrations, leads, sales, etc.).

If you need any help using this feature, please let us know!

AdEngage Launches Daily Cap

Daily Cap is here!

The Daily Cap allows you to set a maxmium spend on your Targeted CPC (RON) Ad for each day. Setting a Daily Cap can help budget and plan each ad’s duration more effectively.

Using the Daily Cap is easy. When you are creating a Targeted CPC (RON) Ad, you will see a section called “Daily Spending Cap” near the bottom of the page. Select “Set Cap Amount” and enter the maximum spend you would like per day in the box to the right. When your ad reaches this amount in clicks, it will stop running for that day and will continue again the following day. This allows you to coordinate your ad’s duration and your budget.

We hope you find this feature helpful. Click here to get started.

If you would like to set a Daily Cap on a current ad, go to “Manage Campaigns” and select “Edit Ad” for the ad you would like to cap. The Daily Cap option will be listed on the bottom of the page. Be sure to save your changes.

Premium Network

If you want the cream of the crop, we’ve compiled it for you in our new Premium Network. The Premium Network is made up of our best performing sites that have been personally approved by the AdEngage Team as well as by our third party quality control company. The Cost per Click for the Premium Network is higher than the Standard Network, but for those of you wanting the best of the best, this is it.

If you are a publisher and would like to know how to become a candidate for our Premium Network, send us an email and we will review your site to see if you meet the criteria.

For those of you already included, you should see an orange “P” next to your site in the Site Directory. Keep up the good work and strut your stuff.

AdEngage Turns 4!

Thank you for all your support over the past four years.

Language Targeting

For Targeted CPC (RON) Ads, you can now target the network by not only country, site content rating, and category, but by site language as well. This feature enables you to write your ad in almost any language and target your ad to specific languages in our network.

Previously, Targeted CPC (RON) Ads displayed on every geo-targeted impression, regardless of the website’s language and limited your targeting capability. This new feature allows you to match your ad’s language and a targeted website language to a geo-targeted region. For example, if you are creating a Chinese ad, you can now purchase Chinese clicks from only Chinese content language sites in our network. This makes every impression and click more relevant and targeted.

Using this feature is easy. When creating a Targeted CPC (RON) Ad, simply write your ad in the language you would like displayed and select the site language you would like to target under “Site Languages to Target” > “Specify Language.” To try out this feature and get started, you can click here.
