No presenter on the red-carpet from Leicester Square Television the other evening (it was cold!) but plenty of great action from the LSQ TV fan-cam. Penelope Cruz, Nicole Kidman and others were there for the world premiere of Nine. Enjoy!
Earlier this week, I was event host for a fashion show organised by Fila, the top international sportswear brand. Fila distributors from many parts of the globe were there to see the latest range which goes on sale in 2010. If you’ve seen “The Firm” you’ll be aware of the connection with the Fila brand
Infinite Variety, starring Polly Cupcake, runs at the New Players Theatre until the end of October. If you like burlesque, then you’ll enjoy this show. Jayne Hardy of the Whoopee Club and Jo King from the London School of Striptease explain the genre in detail towards the end of this vid.
My colleague at LSQ TV was in Normandy at the weekend to film at the 35th American Film Festival at Deauville. Harrison Ford was guest of honour and appears about 2 minutes in:
Loads of screams at the UK Premiere of Hannah Montana the other night for the arrival of Billy Ray Cyrus. As ever, our “capturista” fan-cam was there right in the thick of the action:
Last week, I was MC at an event with business guru Geoff Burch. Geoff spoke for over an hour-and-a-half on sales, sales training and finding and keeping new customers. He also very kindly gave me several minutes to outline the rudiments of successful cold-calling and to run the Q & A session.
One of the more interesting topics from Geoff’s talk was about BATNA’s. Geoff explained, at some length, the importance of coming away from a sales meeting with progression towards a “yes”. One of the methods one can employ is a BATNA which stands for a Best Alternative To A Negotiated Agreement. There’s more on this here in Wikipedia.
Do you understand the difference between negotiation and selling?

Top film director and Crystal Palace fan, Paul Greengrass (remember him from the London Film Festival last October) was at the World Premiere of Watchmen on Monday evening. Here’s the footage from the LSQ TV “fan-cam” which you can now view in high-quality on You Tube:
