New York Hamptons Tent Bed

This dog tent makes me think of Sex and the City. I don’t know why. Maybe because it’s called the New York Hamptons Tent Bed, which sounds fancy. That dog in the second photo is a total Samantha.

Greenies Pill Pockets

This week, my dogs started to show some signs of allergies again: red, raw ears, bumps above the eyes, lots of scratching. We have been giving them antihistamines, and they don’t take pills easily. In fact, it’s a big PITA. Beans is worse than Lulu — he spits it out no matter what. I wish we had some of these Greenies Pill Pockets on hand, it would make it a lot easier. They need to make these in veggie, white fish or duck. They make them in duck flavor! I’m going to grab some of these this weekend and let you know how they work out.

Cooling Bandanna by Outward Hound

It’s hot out there. My dogs can only walk about half the distance they could a few months ago. I stumbled on the Cool-It cooling bandanna from Outward Hound. You soak it in cold water for 15 to 30 minutes before venturing outside. It contains non-toxic polymer crystals that absorb up to 30 times their weight and claims to help keep your dog cool for several hours. It comes in three sizes, too.

Interesting, huh? I wonder if this would really help my pups stay cool outside in this heat.

Fresh Licks Disposable Dog Bowls

I found these all-natural, biodegradable dog bowls via Daily Kibble. Called Fresh Licks Eco-Disposable Bowls by Everybody Green, they are made from 100% bagrasse, which is the fibrous residue that remains after sugarcane stalks are crushed to extract their juices. These bowls are sustainable and great for bringing on trips or to the park, plus you can throw them away without the guilt.

New Crypton Outdoor Pet Beds

It’s summertime, which means it’s time to hang outside in the backyard. But what if your furry friend wants to lounge in the sunshine too? Have you ever tried putting an indoor dog bed outside? It quickly gets pretty disgusting.

Luckily, Crypton has developed a new series of outdoor pet beds designed specifically for the outdoors with — are you ready for this list of features? — stain-resistant, odor and bacteria resistant, with a built-in moisture barrier that prevents accidents from penetrating the fabric and ruining the cushion and a removable and machine-washable cover. The bed is available in six different fabrics and three sizes. Love those ocean blue stripes!

SallyeAnder Pet Products

For over 25 years, family-owned business SallyeAnder has been creating handmade soaps and skin care products. The brand was originally developed when Gary and Karen Austin needed to find a solution for their son’s allergies to bath products, but soon expanded to sensitive skin and acne products, bug bite soothing products, and even grass stain removers. Now, they’ve moved into pet products. As you all know, my dogs have crazy allergies from bumps to flakes to hot spots to just about everything.
