The anti-Democratic mood of the electorate may finally be catching up to Sen. Russ Feingold, the three-term Wisconsin Democrat who has made a career of positioning himself as something of a political outsider. He was, for instance, the lone Democrat in the Senate to vote against the new financial regulation legislation.
