No Takers for Sarah Palin-Levi Johnston Kiss and Make-Up Interview

By Rob Shuter  Posted Jul 21st 2010 08:03AM
    The Palins and Levi Johnston
Just one week after Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston got paid a whopping $100,000 to announce their upcoming wedding on the cover of Us Weekly, the Palin camp has been shopping around an interview plus photographs of Sarah and her future son-in-law together. The problem? No one wants them!

"Last week sales figures for Us Weekly were a huge disappointment," a magazine insider tells me. "After spending that sort of money, Us was hoping to sell over a million copies; instead they only sold around 750,000. Don't expect to see any of the Palin's on a cover of any other [celebrity] weeklies any time soon."

Lindsay Lohan's Jail Stint Knocked Down to 12 Days

By PopEater Staff  Posted Jul 21st 2010 06:29AM
If she behaves herself and jails remain overcrowded, Lindsay Lohan will only have to spend 12-13 days behind bars for violating her probation from previous drug and alcohol arrests, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said on Tuesday. It's a big break for Lohan, who was given 90 days by a judge and was initially expected to serve about 23 days of that sentence.

Steve Whitmore told reporters that nonviolent female inmates generally serve about 25 percent of their sentence, principally because of overcrowding in the jail system. He indicated to PEOPLE that Lohan would likely be released from Century Regional Detention Facility either August 1 or 2.

So what has Bullock ready to forgive? It's James' three kids -- Sunny, Chandler and Jesse Jr. "Sandra will never fully get over the way Jesse betrayed her. But he did give her the family she's always wanted. And because of that, she's able to forgive him," an insider explains.

James is set to move to Austin with Sunny, to be closer to Sandra and her son, Louis Bardot.

Even Australians Don't Want Mel Gibson Back

By Rob Shuter  Posted Jul 20th 2010 09:50PM

Rob ShuterIt seems everyone is mad at Mel Gibson these days. And now, in an effort to get out of the spotlight and win back his ex-wife Robyn, the movie star plans to pick up his family and move back to Australia. But, do Australians even want him back?

Australian native, and Bravo's most colorful Real Househusband ever, Simon van Kempen, tells me exactly what he thinks about Mel Gibson and what the actor once meant to Australia.

"To see Mel's implosion over the last 5 years has been maddeningly sad to say the least," he told me. "As a young Australian in the late '70s and early '80s Mel was THE Australian (although American) in the international film business and not surpassed until Russell Crowe (although a New Zealander) came along."

Jesse James Wins Physical Custody of Daughter Sunny, Can Move Her to Texas

By PopEater Staff  Posted Jul 20th 2010 08:10PM
After an emotional custody battle, an Orange County judge ruled that Jesse James will get physical custody of daughter, Sunny, 7, and can move her to Texas to be closer to Sandra Bullock, UsWeekly reports.

Judge Thomas Schulte ruled that Sunny's mom, Janine Lindemulder, will share legal custody; she'll see Sunny once a month in California, half of the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, two-thirds of summer vacation and all of spring break.

Lindemulder, who was just recently released from a halfway house, broke down when the judge revealed his ruling. "I can't do this!" she said, while putting her head down. "I'll move! I'll move!"

Sunny will stay with Lindemulder for the rest of the summer and then move to Texas in time for the new school year.
