Australian Restaurant Swaps Menus For iPads
Using the MenuPad app, customers are able to view all the menu items, check out photos of the dishes and place orders with a simple finger tap. It's a great tool for the restaurant, because they can easily change the menu whenever they want without having to waste money on reprinting costs.
Can't decide what you'd like to eat? The iPad app can even make dish suggestions for you based on the weather and your mood. Seriously.
Are iPad menus about to take over the world? The technology that the Apple device uses is similar to online delivery services that are already available on the Web, so it's no surprise that "there's an app for that." But at $500 a pop, it would be a pretty pricey expense for restaurants, and could tempt people to dine-and-dash away with their iPad menus. What do you think?
