Introduction to Civil War (Tiqqun)

introcivil_print-1.jpg

"Society no longer exists, at least in the sense of a differentiated whole. There is only a tangle of norms and mechanisms through which THEY hold together the scattered tatters of the global biopolitical fabric, through which THEY prevent its violent disintegration. Empire is the administrator of this desolation, the supreme manager of a process of listless implosion."

"Tiqqun is the becoming-real, the becoming-practice of the world. Tiqqun is the process through which everything is revealed to be practice, that is, to take place within its own limits, within its own immanent signification. Tiqqun means that each act, conduct, and statement endowed with sense—act, conduct and statement as event—spontaneously manifests its own metaphysics, its own community, its own party. Civil war simply means the world is practice, and life is, in its smallest details, heroic."

Police State Funnies- June 2010, Columbus, OH

Police State Funnies

Funny little comics based on actual interactions with police. Make your own!

The police are not a uniform monolith. They are a collection of individuals, full of human features: doubt, uncertainty, complex motives and mixed loyalties. The divisions between them can be highlighted, and expanded. Their ranks can be divided and their power undermined.  read more »

Let A Thousand Hands Reach Out To Pick Up The Gun

Nanni Balestrini was born in Milan in 1935. Known both as an experimental writer of prose and verse and as a cultural and political activist, he played a leading role in avant-garde writing and publishing in the sixties. His involvement with the extra-parliamentary left in the seventies resulted in terrorism charges (of which he was subsequently acquitted) and a long period of self-imposed exile from Italy.  read more »

Anarchist Direct Actions: A Challenge for Law Enforcement

viewcontent-1.jpg

“Anarchism is a philosophy that advocates for complete liberty, freedom, and equality. The nuances are myriad and complex. Regardless of their intellectual or social merit, though, it is not necessary for the law enforcement professional to completely understand them all to confront the challenges posed by their advocates.”

-Studies in Conflict & Terrorism, 28:201–223, 2005: Anarchist Direct Actions: A Challenge for Law Enforcement, by Randy Borum (University of South Florida) and Chuck Tilby (Eugene, Oregon Police Department)

When the ants stop marching one by one...

dispatch-bee-with-honeypot.jpg

This was a story I wrote mostly from memory while in month two of seven of my incarceration in the Texas prison-industrial complex. Whether insect, plant, animal, or human, we are all pests to the state and our other enemies. In here, I attempt to relate and draw inspiration from our shared struggles. I kept the story in it's original version, but at the end of this zine I added some additional information.  read more »
