Audiences are spread across the entire Internet. Some people hang out on YouTube while others visit Hulu or AOL on a daily basis. Still others prefer to lean back and watch Internet video on their TiVo. Blip.tv's extensive distribution network reaches these people wherever they are, rather than forcing them to come to us. Blip shows can be found on most major video sites.

Preroll

Preroll can be very powerful if done right. The key is keeping it short: the shorter your pre the more respected your audience feels.

We've found great success with short prerolls that are combined with either overlays or postrolls. The preroll offers brand awareness, while the overlay or postroll gives the audience an opportunity to engage further if they choose.

Overlays

Overlays, done right, can be extremely successful. We've found that the best strategy is to incorporate significant amounts of functionality into the overlay itself. The more that happens in the player the better.

The overlay itself should offer basic brand or product benefits and invite the viewer to click to engage further. After the click the viewer should be able to engage for a long time. Play them a trailer, let them customize a car, let them play a game, let them buy tickets. All within the player. Don't worry if you have the creative — we'll build it for you.
