BATTLETORN : USA, NEW YORK, New York City

One of the wildest recent bands from USA, here's BATTLETORN from Brooklyn, the most populous of New York City's five boroughs...

Great music, mixing METAL, PUNK and HARDCORE

I don't have every release they made but I've ripped every release I have by them...

They begun as a trio and they are a duo by now...

They released also a split 7" with DOUBLE NEGATIVE

Both bands on this split are playing wild and angry music

BATTLETORN are awesome because they're playing with an incredible intensity...

And every songs are unchained.

It's wild, fast & dark...

Straight in your face influenced metal HARDCORE PUNK.

On their third LP, the live side is also awesome and very loud.

Nobody can't stay without opinion about this band which stay for sure in the memories !!!

SUBKUTAN : 7" - 1996 - GERMANY - MAC GYVER RECORDS

I discovered this german band with this song :

Ersatz religion by vile76

And this second one :

Herzlich willkommen by vile76

So what a great surprise I did have when I saw it for the first time in a lost box... I didn't know it was coming in a handmade, tackered sleeve attached with 6 cramps...
Included a 12 page 5x6" inch sized booklet with lyrics and photos.

This record totally rules but I must admit that I gave interest to the longer songs : "Fressen und kotzen", "Keine ahnung" and "Genauso blöd wie die" thanks to the three others...

In fact, I get use to with their very original mix of punk hardcore. I like their fasts and slow parts in the same song and the singer is great !!!

Their music is a wild punk-hardcore with a lot of hate and melodies + strange parts (sometimes)... But it's always GREAT !!!

Track A1 is printed on the label as submitted, on the back sleeve it has the different writing "Fressen Und Kotzen" and track B3 on the label says "8.11.39", on the back sleeve it´s misprinted 9.11.39.

So, take this great and obscure piece of german punk hardcore... It's excellent !

DISERZIONE : "Quando si sentira' l'ultimo rimbombo" DEMO 1982 - 7" - LoveHate80.it - 2011 - ITALY

WRONG BOYS meets DISOPIA...

I've been contacted by my friend Giorgio SENESI from ITALY who told me that this very rare and still obscure tape from 1982 will be soon available on vinyl...

This band stayed very obsure from 1982 till nowadays...

In fact, only 100 original tapes were made in the beginnings and they never released anything else. So, it stayed a very very rare italian recording, only available in the tape traders circle...

By now, with this third release, LoveHate80.it RECORDS made available this 5 songs demo tape to peoples on vinyl with this 2011 only one time pressing of 300 copies...

This is a small pressing and I immediatly ordered several copies to give a "chance" for more non-italians guys to get it because they are enough crazy italian punks to order it and it will be sold out very fast for sure...

I just receive it this morning and I'm so happy with, that I couldn't avoid to ripp it here...

First, thanks a lot Giorgio for sending my copies so fast after my pre-orders...

As usual, everything's great with you (I've made several deals + trades with him and he's 100 % sure).

Now, it's time to speak about the music :

1st song is "Nuova generazione" with a great and bass intro followed by a fast and crazy part such as ONLY the italian punks were able to do... It's perfect, in the vein of the best songs of the 1982 demo by WRONG BOYS. Wild and killer !!!

Then, comes "Lotta per non morire" which is a mid tempo song with great chorus, a few like NABAT were able to do...

"L'ultimo rimbombo" is traditional and excellent italian early 80's hardcore with the magic touch...

It's time for the B side with "Represioni". The beginning of this songs makes me think about a few songs of the DISOPIA's demo tape from 1984. It's more in a punk vein with great singer + rhythm...

Last song "Seconda generazione" has got a great and quiet first part who let place to an awesome second (+ final) fast part with the so great "magic touch" from the 80's italian punk/hardcore scene.

The way it was and the way it should be again and again...

By now, thanks to this LoveHate80.it's release, this old italian session isn't anymore so much obscure and rare...

But never forget than more very rare sessions from the very early 80's are still to release such as 1st DICTATRISTA demo tape, DIRTY JOY demo, LOGGIA P2 demo, first ATROX demo tape, CANI tape, second RIP OFF demo ("Tricolore"), MENTI ALTERNATIVE demo (with more than 2 songs...), NO GESTAPO : tape and a few more...

This tribute release was a great news for me and I'm very happy to give you the "chance" to download it here :

Get in touch here to try to get a copy : ordini@lovehate80.it

UPDATE 19 th april 2011 :

Thanks to everyone who ordered this great release, it's sold out from me...

LOCKJAW : Both 7"'s (1982 - 1983) - USA, OREGON, Portland - Self released

Both LOCKJAW : 7"'s ripped directly from the original vinyls

What a great idea, isn't it ?

The lyrics of their 1st 7" were really stupid, being sexist ("Devil"), violence-prone ("Pop Your Head"), and, despite their protestations, racist as hell ("Go Back").

So, in fact, the "racist" song isn't featuring on the "Skinned alive" CD discography released in 1996 by GRAND THEFT AUDIO, and we can easily understand why of course...

This wasn't politically correct to put this song and it was a dangerous commercial idea... But LOCKJAW were more in provocation than in racism, for sure !!!

By the way, I think it was a good decision to avoid to put "Go back" on the discography CD as they're too many peoples which were (and still are) "hystericals".

More, with some new "arrivals" from the 90's, it was too much difficult to reason or to ague with some peoples like that and it's impossible to explain what were the young HARDCORE (I said hardcore, not punk) peoples in the very early 80's..

And don't forget that to be objectives, peoples need also to be a few intelligent and never jealous, ha,ha,ha, !!!

But here, we don't care about that and the "truth" interest is to give peoples visiting this blog, the chance to get the great music of this song, with this post !

Also, it's interesting to take note about this different sleeve called "Ted BUNDY sleeve" which was an alternate one made after the regular issue.

In fact, it's not a repress, it's more a later alternate sleeve of 50 (made a few years later).

I easily guess that the band discovered 2 boxes (X25 each) but without regular sleeves. So, they made this one...

Here's their second release directly ripped from the original vinyl too.

Songs are also featuring on the discography CD but I think it was maybe a big interest for peoples to have it from the original source...

It's more fast hardcore and more politically correct (I'm sure they get problems with stupid peoples which were unable to understand that they were only into provocation...)

Whatever you're thinking about this band...

Nobody can say it's not good and essential hardcore music from the early US 80's scene... or he's a fucking and stupid liar !

BLACK MARKET BABY - Early releases - USA, DC, Washington - 1982 / 1983 - LIMP RECORDS // FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH RECORDS

BLACK MARKET BABY is certainly one of the most underestimated DC band from the 80's.

They were playing a melodic & intelligent hardcore with great melodies. The singer is excellent and the guitars are powerful...

By the way, here's maybe one of the rarest US record from the punk scene.

It was previous to be a split 10" on LIMP RECORDS but it never came out.

Here's the acetate of this split 10". Maybe there's only one copy made, who knows ?

Both labels are with paper !

Both songs by BLACK MARKET BABY were used for their 1st 7" on LIMP RECORDS.

The other band is THE NURSES and both songs aren't unreleased as they're featuring on their 3rd 7", also on LIMP RECORDS. But it's not hardcore punk music. It's a pleasant and decent punk rock.

This record is very very rare and it's maybe the only made...

Don't forget : It's an acetate 10" size.

Another very rare record is this test pressing (with a different sleeve) of their 1st 7" on LIMP RECORDS.

On their own label, it was previous to release, concurrent with this one, a 45 on their own label "Crimes of passion" and "America" but it never came out (By now, it has been released in 2000)

Just read the back cover, everything's explained !

Side A

Side B

To end this post, I wanted to ripp their 1st LP directly from the original vinyl because how can you live without that ?

It's just perfect music !!!

This band released more records that I highly recommend you to download on the net.

This is rare and great !

Both labels of this classic !!!

Enjoy the music...
