#1 3.0.4 crashes on my Mac about 30x a day!

I had almost no crashes with any previous 3.0.x release, but this one crashes at least every 30 minutes, sometimes more often. I have no idea what is causing the crashes, but this version is useless - I will see if I can downgrade to 3.0.3 again, which was working stable most of the time. I recommend every Mac user to stay away of this update. Security issues are not as dramatic, most people trying to make use of them won't target Mac, but rather Windows (and Windows code will most likely not do much harm on a Mac system). Having a browser that is almost unusable because it crashes more than that it's running is much more critical!

#5 Firefox 3.0.4 auto-restart fails !!!! Reinstalled

First, sorry about the multiple posts ...

Okay ... I re-downloaded and then re-installed (from the link above) instead of from within Firefox's "Check for Updates" popup ... and it appears to working now. Prior to doing the new re-download, I copied the original Mozilla Firefox folder, just in case. This update was not seamless or as easy as previous updates have been. I do not know what all the contributors were, and don't have time to investigate further right now. If/when I get a chance I will re-post here.

DON'T EVER DO THIS AGAIN, mark_torrey. It's like spamming this thread!! YOU HEAR ME, spammer!

I don't have a problem with Firefox 3.0.4 and it ran fine under Vista.

Calm down, 4td8s

If seeing multiple posts complaining about another MAJOR fail in Firefox V.3 is worst thing that's happened to you this month, you've had a really good month.

I completely agree, it is 4td8s who should be ashamed for scolding someone who has already offered an apology.

I like the sweet irony that your response to a rant about multiple postings was itself multiply posted.

Good on ya mate!

The CERT advisory at <http://www.us-cert.gov/ca…techalerts/TA08-319A.html> says that Thunderbird 2.0.0.18 has also been released.

Has it? It does not appear to be available either on the download page at <http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/thunderbird/> nor via the Help->Check for Updates menu option.
