How to play and find music

There are millions of artists on MySpace, and with MySpace Music you can listen to all their albums and songs for free, anytime you want. To listen to your favorite artists, here’s what you need to do

1. Go to "Music" in the menu at the top of this page. This will take you to the MySpace Music channel, where we feature new music and videos which we think you'll like.
2. Type the name of your favorite band into the Search bar and click on “Search”. If you need inspiration, click on “Popular Searches” beneath the search form, from here, you’ll see the most popular artists on MySpace in real-time.
3. This will show you all their albums and music available on the site, click on the song or band to get taken to their profile page.
4. To play an artists songs, simply click on a track from the music player on their page. Easy!

How to make a playlist

You can choose from millions of songs on MySpace and put together your very own Playlist, which you can then share with your friends. You might make a Playlist about your favorite summer songs, or favorite rock anthems, it's up to you and there’s no limit as to how many you can make. There are two ways to make a Playlist on MySpace

1. Go to the Music Channel, you can access this by going to "Music" in the menu at the top of this page
2. Click on "My Music" which is in the white navigation bar, near the top of the page
   
3. Click on "Create Playlist" and give it a name, it’s good to give it a title, based around the type of songs you’re going to put into it.
4. Now search for music, by typing in an artist, song or album name in the Search Bar at the top
5. You’ll now see a list of all the songs available to you, simply click + next to the song, to add it to your playlist or drag it into your playlist directly.
   
   The Alternative Way To Creating A Playlist
6. Go to any artist profile (e.g. myspace.com/u2 )
7. From the music player on their page, click on the + sign next to the song you’d like to add to your Playlist
8. You'll then have the option of adding that track to an existing Playlist or creating a brand new one for it

How to share your playlist

Now that you have made a playlist, why not share it with your friends? It's really easy to do, and can be quite addictive!

1. Click on "My Music" at the top of the MySpace Music channel, this will show you all your Playlists that you’ve created.
2. On the left hand side click on "My Public Playlists", then select the name of the playlist you’d like to share (note: it must be set to public)
3. To share your Playlist with your friends, click on Playlist Page link, this will take you to a page dedicated to that Playlist
4. Once there, simply click on the icon, to promote your Playlist across a variety of networks or e-mail it to your friends
