Welcome

We've been working with some of the best show creators on the Web for a couple years now. This Learning Center is an attempt to collect what they've learned and what we've learned about Web video storytelling.

Interviews with experienced blip.tv producers, directors, hosts, editors and writers.

The Learning Center is designed to give those who are new to Web show production a head-start on learning the art, and give experienced producers some tips to help improve their craft. We assume that you have basic computer and video skills. The Learning Center is not intended to help you use the blip.tv Web site — for that check out our Help Section and our FAQ.

Check out the Table of Contents on the left side of this page. We've broken the show production process down into seven steps from Concept to Advertising. Each section stands on its own, or you can read the entire Learning Center front-to-back like a book. You can think of the Overview as an executive summary — it'll give you just enough information about each topic to make you dangerous.

We've done our best to put together a really good first draft of what our Learning Center should eventually be. We're eager to improve it, but we can't without your help. Please click the "Feedback" links sprinkled throughout the Center to tell us what you think of various sections, ask questions, and suggest new tips for inclusion. It'll help us make an even better resource for future generations of show producers.
